Over the last week I've been sewing a lot. Let's Backtrack on Etsy has been keeping me super busy and I
like that ♥.
Each morning I wake up and Beulah (my corgi) is snuggled up next to me. The fire goes out in the night and the
mornings here are cold. I've added another vintage granny square afghan to my bed. There is nothing like the
weight and warmth of a handmade, wool, afghan.
I make some coffee in the vintage coffee pot I picked up at an estate sale for $5. I scramble a couple of eggs
and make toast. I check my emails and plug in my iron and set to work
The day flies and before I know it it's after 2. I make a cup of tea and find an old movie on YouTube. I set
up my laptop on the chest across from my ironing board. I can't give the movie my full attention but it's just
nice to hear the familiar voices and catch a funny one liner.
I picked up this cheery primrose at the grocery store last week. I'm looking forward to spring but then
isn't everybody? ♥

Blizzard
The weather forecaster said Upstate New York was "pummeled in snow". Well said.
We shoveled Thursday morning, Friday afternoon, and twice today. My Beulah and mom's dog, Sophie,
love all the action.
Here are some photos my sister's fiance took with his way cool iPhone. Those iPhones are so darn cool. I'm
doing the tracfone thing. It's cheap. It works but... it doesn't take panoramic shots!

DIY Cards
I just wanted to create a cute little "Merry Christmas" for my facebook page. Yesterday I purchased this cool rooster mug at my favorite antique store. As I sipped my coffee I was just itching to take a picture of it! I set the cup on a piece of computer paper and with one hand I held up another piece for the back drop. It turned out looking like this
I opened the photo up in Picasa straightened it, brightened it, added text, the CinemaScope effect, and a border
The photo on top ( Hi ) and this one below (coffee ) I used the font and effects in photobucket

Trilby
This great shop modeled this great hat with their great apron... I know! I'v been searching the net for such-of-a-hat. Turns out it's not a Fedora -- it's called a Trilby. Cute, huh? I think it will be a smash this summer -- or maybe next depending on how quick everybody catches on. I know I want one! So far the best I could find was either $400 or $8... The $8 wins although I think I'll hold out a little longer and see if one shows up in the shops here come spring :o)
